Appearance
Clear, colorless to slightly yellow, oily liquid.
Pharmacological Actions
Antibacterial agent. Florfenicol exhibits potent antibacterial activity against a broad range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria implicated in dermatological and otic conditions in dogs and cats. Metronidazole has strong antibacterial activity against anaerobic organisms and is also effective against trichomonads.
Indications
Antibacterial agent for the treatment of bacterial otitis media and otitis externa in dogs and cats.
Dosage and Administration
Otic instillation: instill 3-4 drops per ear. Administer twice daily for 5-7 consecutive days, or as directed by a veterinarian.
Adverse Reactions
Mild irritation may occur upon application to broken or damaged skin.
Withdrawal Period
Not required.
