Active Ingredient(s) and Content
This product primarily contains recombinant feline ω-interferon. The potency is not less than the labeled amount.
Appearance
White to light yellow sponge-like porous cake. Dissolves rapidly upon addition of sterile physiological saline for injection.
Indications
For the treatment of feline herpesvirus infection and enhancement of anti-infective immunity in cats.
Dosage and Administration
For use in cats aged 2 months and older. Administer via combined subcutaneous injection and ophthalmic instillation.
Subcutaneous Injection: Reconstitute with sterile physiological saline for injection. Administer subcutaneously at 2 × 10⁶ IU/kg body weight, twice daily (morning and evening). Ophthalmic Instillation: Dilute with the dedicated ophthalmic diluent to 2×10⁶ IU/mL as indicated on the vial label. Instill 2 drops into each eye, twice daily (morning and evening).
Continue treatment for 14 consecutive days, or as directed by a veterinarian.
Adverse Reactions
No clinically observable adverse reactions are generally expected. Allergic reactions occur rarely following administration; desensitizing agents should be administered immediately if such reactions are observed.
Precautions
(1) For subcutaneous injection, reconstitute and dilute with sterile physiological saline for injection only. Use the reconstituted solution within the day of preparation.
(2) For ophthalmic instillation, dilute with the dedicated ophthalmic diluent only. Store the reconstituted solution under refrigeration; use within one week of reconstitution.
(3) Do not use the product if the reconstituted solution appears turbid, contains precipitates, or exhibits any other abnormal characteristics.
(4) In rare cases, cats may experience transient adverse effects including fever, lethargy, or anorexia. These effects resolve upon discontinuation of treatment.
(5) In the event of secondary infection, concurrent use of appropriate symptomatic medications is permissible.
(6) Do not use if the packaging vial is damaged.
