Canine serum albumin, 100 mg/mL.
Appearance
Slightly viscous, clear liquid, yellow to yellow-green to brown in color.
Indications
For the treatment of hypovolemia and hypoalbuminemia in dogs.
Dosage and Administration
Administer by intravenous bolus injection, or by intravenous infusion after appropriate dilution with 5% Glucose Injection or Sodium Chloride Injection. The recommended daily dose for dogs is 200 mg per 1 kg body weight. In severe cases, may double the dose based on clinical judgment. Or as directed by a veterinarian.
Adverse Reactions
No significant adverse reactions have been observed when used at the prescribed dosage and administration.
Precautions
(1) Make the product to reach room temperature before use.
(2) Once opened, the entire contents must be used in a single administration. Do not divide for use in separate sessions or administer to a second animal.
(3) Do not use if the product appears turbid or contains precipitates or foreign particles, or if the vial is cracked, or if the product has expired.
(4) The infusion rate should not exceed 0.5 mL/min. During the first 15 minutes, increase the rate gradually up to this speed. If the animal shows any signs of adverse reaction during infusion, discontinue immediately.
(5) Do not freeze during transport or storage.
